Official IFS Level 1 Training -13ª Ed Jan-March 2026

In this official L1 Online (#1444) IFS  training, you complete Level 1 in 2 weeks.               
This training will take place fully online.    

Session  1  - January 11th-14th       
Bridge Days - January 25th-26th     
Session  2  - February 15th-18th       
Session  3  - March 1st-4th        

Starting Times:  12 PM Portugal Time 

Ends at 8 PM Portugal Time               

Lunchtime / Break will be around 3.30/3.40 Portugal Time
Each day will be 6.30 hours of learning, plus the breaks.           

Participants must complete a minimum of 76 program hours to receive a certificate of completion.

Internal Family Systems is at the forefront of a movement toward a more collaborative therapeutic approach that relies on clients’ intuitive wisdom. IFS offers a clear, non-pathologizing, and empowering view of human cognitive and emotional life and provides a dynamic therapeutic approach that allows both therapist and client to enter into a transformational relationship in which healing can occur.             

The Training will be held in English.  Practices in Portuguese for Portuguese Participants.

About the Trainers             
Alexia Rothman  (Co-Lead Trainer) is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Atlanta, GA, since 2004.  She is a Certified Internal Family Systems therapist, an Assistant Trainer for the IFS Institute, an international speaker and educator on the IFS model, and a professional consultant for clinicians seeking to deepen their knowledge and practice of IFS through theoretical discussions, case consultation, technique practice, and deep, personal experiential work with their own internal systems.Dr. Rothman has received extensive training in the IFS model, primarily from IFS developer, Dr. Richard Schwartz.  She has served  on staff for multiple Level 1, 2, and 3 experiential IFS trainings, and she offers workshops on the IFS model throughout the United States and abroad. Dr. Rothman is a United States Presidential Scholar who graduated summa cum laude from Emory University as a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar.  She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she was an Edwin W. Pauley Fellow and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.  She has held adjunct faculty positions at Emory University and Agnes Scott College.

Carolina Abreu (Co-Lead Trainer) é Psicóloga e Psicoterapeuta (certificada pela OPP - Ordem dos Psicologos Portugueses).Licenciada em Psicologia desde 2004, com Mestrado em Psicologia da Educação e Especialização em Psicoterapia pela Sociedade Portuguesa de Psicoterapias Construtivas. É terapeuta e Trainer em Sistemas Familiares Internos pelo IFSI. Trabalha em clínica privada, onde oferece supervisão e terapia baseada na IFS a indivíduos de todo o mundo. Tem colaborado em múltiplos workshops IFS, especialmente na comunidade IFS portuguesa por intermédio da Sociedade Portuguesa de Psicoterapias Construtivas (SPPC). Participou em vários Treinos Internacionais IFS e teve o privilégio de trabalhar e aprender com as maiores referências do modelo. Adora participar e apoiar a criação e expansão das comunidades IFS e está fortemente empenhada em ajudar mais pessoas a aceder, incorporar e beneficiar deste modelo. Vive na Ilha da Madeira, Portugal, onde nasceu e cresceu.

Lead trainers will be assisted by 1 LPA and 12 Programme Assistants (PAs), who have completed at least IFS L2 training, in the ratio of 1:3 participants.
